Bio
Gianni Alberti
Gianni Alberti is a saxophonist prepared technically, a full professor at the Conservatory of Brescia, with a special fondness for the classic repertoire of jazz.
Even in this album you listen to famous standards like "Stardust," "I Can not Get Started" and "Laura", among others.
The implementation follows the style of "modern mainstream" with reed instruments of the leader always on top in the various tracks, protagonists of the cd.
The sound of the alto sax, clean and "round", has as its model the great tradition, but a more precise reference can be ascribed to Paul Desmond and Charlie Mc Pherson, saxophonists who have "modernized", if I may say so, the style of Lester Young.
Clarinet Alberti is more personal and interesting takes full advantage of the middle notes and "salt" to the treble with absolute mastery of the "wood".
Beside him playing a rhythm section rather colorless, with Lino Franceschetti floor, Mauro Sergio Mazzei Clear bass and drums.
