Ralph Alessi
Ralph Alessi son of trumpeter Joe Alessi classic and opera singer Maria Leone was born in San Francisco.
After he graduated in trumpet and jazz bass has perfected his studies with the legendary Charlie Haden at CalArts, before traveling to New York and quickly become an important representative of the downtown scene.
During his career he has collaborated with musicians such as Steve Coleman, Jason Moran and Dafnis Prieto.
To his credit trumpeter has seven albums as a leader, including the critically acclaimed "Cognitive Dissonance" made a duet with Fred Hersch.
The musician has also been a professor at the Eastman School of Music and is currently the founder and director of the School for Improvisational Music.
In Italy collaborates with musician friend Simone Guiducci.
