BEATRICE ARRIGONI started her musical experience playing classical piano at 8, thereby continuing her studies with modern singing at Cdpm in Bergamo; since 2006 she has been performing in jazz concerts with Sergio Orlandi, Guido Bombardieri, Claudio Angeleri, Tony Arco, Andrea Andreoli, Alessandro Bottacchiari.
Throughout the years she has been participating in many jazz seminars with national and international teachers such as Dave Liebman, Jay Clayton, Rachel Gould, Norma Winstone, Theo Bleckmann, Jen Shyu, Cristina Zavalloni (Siena Jazz 2016), Jason Lindner, Diana Torto, winning a scholarship as best voice on the occasion of “Laurino in Jazz 2014” seminars.
For four years she was member of Paola Milzani’s Gospel choir “The Golden Guys”, recording the song “Up to Glory” as solo artist. From 2011 to 2015 she sang with the cappella choir “Clam Chowder” of Milan, directed by Giorgio Ubaldi. With Clam Chowder she successfully participated in many national and international contests and festivals, such as the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Concours de Chorales de Draguignan, the International Contest of Verona, the International Festival of Choral Music “Concordia Vocis” in Cagliari, the International Contest of Gorizia.
She graduated from “Civici Corsi di Jazz” in Milan in 2013, studying with Laura Conti, Gabriele Comeglio, Marco Vaggi, Tony Arco, Roberto Rossi, Achille Succi and Claudio Fasoli. In 2014 she started attending the Jazz Vocal Master at the Conservatory of Milan, working with Tiziana Ghiglioni, Tino Tracanna, Greg Burk, Riccardo Luppi, Antonio Zambrini, Alberto Mandarini, also joining the “Contemporary ensemble” of Giovanni Falzone.
She enhanced her vocal skills with Luigina Bertuzzi and Daniela Panetta, and at present she is working with the speech therapist and singing teacher Marina Bertocchi.
Since 2015 she has been attending the experimental lab with the pianist and composer Stefano Battaglia, thereby approaching the world of poetry and improvisation.
In summer 2017 she was selected by the director Cesare Ronconi to partecipate at the poetry and music lab organized by Valdoca Theatre.
In 2015 she created an experimental duo with the drummer Fabrizio Carriero, dedicated to the poetry of Emily Dickinson. She worked on other projects concerning poetry, exploring both improvisation and composition.
In 2016, with the project Beatrice Arrigoni 4et dedicated to original compositions close to contemporary jazz, she won the contest held by “Musicisti Italiani di Jazz Lombardia” in the under 30 category.
In June 2017 she recorded with Fabrizio Carriero “My River runs to thee” (incoming release with the record label TRJ Records from Mantova) and in September she recorded her first album as quartet leader and author.
She graduated from the University of Milan in Modern Literature with full marks. Her degree theses were dedicated to musical dramaturgy and linguistics. Since 2013 she has been teaching modern singing and jazz in various courses.
Throughout the years she performed at “Bergamo jazz”, Mortara Jazz Festival, “Ritmo delle città” in Milan, Piccolo Teatro Strehler, Arcimboldi Theatre of Milano, Sala “Verdi” of Milan Conservatory, San Babila Theatre of Milan, “Accademia Chigiana” of Siena. She also performed with many artists, such as Achille Succi, Stefano Battaglia, Marco Vaggi, Giovanni Falzone, Paolo Tomelleri, Antonio Zambrini, Claudio Fasoli, Riccardo Luppi, Alfredo Ferrario, Valerio Della Fonte, Mario Forte, Camilla Battaglia, Marco Rottoli, Riccardo Tosi, Francesco Chiapperini, Paolo Bacchetta, Roberto Frassini Moneta, Matteo Lorito, Massimiliano Furia, Arturo Garra, Matteo Rebulla and many others.
